OCTOBER 2010 LINEUP...
Hello everyone! October is a busy month for us here at DynastyEvents! Here's a breakdown of what we have going on in our camp for the rest of the month and Halloween 2010!
First up, on Oct. 15th (next Friday) we have Boston's very own DJ SOULO at Blue Martini to take control of the decks! Don't miss out on this one time chance to see one of beantown's finest! Blue Martini All-Star DJ Series... PS: He'll also be rocking WB's at Hyde Park the following night!
The following Friday, Oct. 22nd, Orlando's own bad boy, DJ NOVA is back in town to take over Blue Martini Friday on Ku's night off! DJ Nova is a staple in the Central Florida nightlife scene and has been steadily touring up and down the East coast of the US for the past few years... An epic DJ to witness, trust us, you do NOT want to miss this!
That Saturday, we'll be bringing in one of the FAVORITES of The Kennedy's SO U THINK U CAN DJ contest, DA MAGICIAN to fill in on Ku's night off! Full of energy, he's definitely one to watch move up through the ranks of Tampa's DJ elite... He's gonna be taking over WB's at Hyde Park Cafe Saturday, Oct. 23rd!
The next week will begin DynastyEvents' festivities to celebrate Halloween 2010! First off, at Tampa's famed Thursday Latin Nights, Cafe Latino at HPC, we are bringing in local favorite, DJ Spaniko to spice things up a bit at "Horror en Hyde Park Cafe!" Don't miss out! Thursday, Oct. 28th it's going down!
Saturday, Oct. 30th, DyanstyEvents' proudly presents our first annual "Heroes & Villains" party... Come dressed as your favorite superhero or supervillain! The theme is encouraged, but not required! Come out and help us bring in Halloween 2010 at midnight!
Sunday, Oct. 31st, we will be bringing the party to The Kennedy for our first annual "S.I.N.NERS BALL!" Details to come soon...

KANYE WEST - LOST IN THE WORLD
I MIGHT BE GOING OUT ON A LIMB BY SAYING THIS... BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE ILLEST TRACKS KANYE HAS EVER RELEASED... CLASSIC KANYE AND BRILLIANTLY EPIC... A SONG THAT BRINGS OUT EMOTION AND THOUGHT AS ONLY TRUE GOOD MUSIC SHOULD. IT DEFINITELY SHOOTS TO THE TOP BRACKET OF MY FAVORITE KANYE WEST SONGS. IN MY OPINION, HE DID "WOODS" (THE BON IVER TRACK HE SAMPLED) JUSTICE... HE KEPT THE SIMPLISTIC HAUNTING FEEL OF THE ORIGINAL BUT AT THE SAME TIME TOOK IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL... Another track from Kanye West's forthcoming Dark Twisted Fantasy (if he keeps this title) leaked onto the web this morning (September 29). Entitled "Lost in the World," the track samples Bon Iver's "Woods" and includes lyrics Ye spit during his social media office promo tour, visiting Twitter and Facebook.
"Lost in the World" follows "Power" and "Runaway." Kanye performed the latter at the Facebook offices as well as premiered the track during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards touting Pusha T and ballerinas in complementary outfits. Toast!
The new song is topped off with the vocals from Gil Scott-Heron's fiery spoken-word number "Comment #1." On the Auto-Tune heavy track, West harmonizes on the chorus an interpolation of "Woods" singing "I'm lost in the world, been down my whole life, I'm new in the city, but I'm down for the night."
"You're my devil, you're my angel," he begins the song. "You're my heaven, you're my hell/ You're my now, you're my forever/ You're my freedom, you're my jail/ You're my lies, you're my truth/ You're my war, you're my truce/ You're my questions, you're my proof/ You're my stress, you're my masseuse."
The track clocks in at just under six minutes and features a number of musical changes throughout the production. The song starts off faintly with the Bon Iver vocoder-tinged sample before pulsating drums pick up the tempo. Midway through, however, the song slows down to a measured tempo as Scott-Heron's vocals fire through the beat.
"Who will survive in America," Scott-Heron's voice chants over and over before the song ends with a weak hand-clap that sounds like it was recorded in an almost empty room. We approve.
